Dana Gilligan

Gunnar Holmgren

At an early age, Dana and Gunnar began riding and racing the Wednesday night series at Hardwood Ski and Bike. Since then, they have competed in 8 world championships, won 13 provincial titles, and earned three national titles. In 2016 they both earned their first national championship titles. In 2017, Dana and Gunnar both finished on the Mtb National championship podium as well as earned Silver and Bronze medals at the Canada Summer Games. Later in the year, they competed at the UCI Mtb World Championships in Cairns Australia where Dana earned a career highlight result of 20th place. This past year Gunnar pursued the Mtb World Cup circuit while Dana raced with her professional road team in France. Most recently Dana raced to 6th at our hometown Pan American Cyclocross Championships while Gunnar landed 4th place. Gunnar is the new U23 National Cyclocross champion while Dana came home for 2nd. They will both represent Canada in Europe this 2018/2019 Kersteperiode and World Championships.

In 2019 we will pursue the World Cup circuit on the MTB and a full Cyclocross season including the North American circuit and a trip to Europe for the Kersteperiode and World Championships. Our goal is to fill the gap in the Canadian pro scene with a Next Wave pro team for Dana and Gunnar and future up and coming riders. Further ahead, we are training for the 2024 Olympics.
